The spirit of community and family shone brightly as more than 80 people gathered for the RYAM Temiscaming Engagement Squad’s Family Movie Night, featuring the Disney favorite Lilo & Stitch.
Families arrived in cozy pajamas, arms full of pillows and blankets, ready for an evening that celebrated connection, laughter, and relaxation. Before the film began, the room buzzed with excitement as children lined up for face painting, guessed how many LEGO pieces filled a jar, and waited eagerly for the draw of door prizes filled with themed goodies and treats.
A team of local teen volunteers helped bring the night to life—serving snacks, running games, and making sure everyone felt at home. With complimentary popcorn and drinks in hand, families enjoyed a movie that reminded everyone of the power of ohana—that family means no one gets left behind or forgotten.
In addition to the fun, guests generously contributed non-perishable food items for Place au Soleil, the local food bank, helping support families in need across the community. The collection added a meaningful layer of giving to an already heartwarming night.
Open to everyone in Temiscaming, the event reflected RYAM’s ongoing commitment to fostering connection and strengthening the ties between home, work, and community. It was an opportunity for employees, families, and neighbors to slow down, share time together, and celebrate what matters most. The evening ended not just with smiles, but with a stronger sense of belonging—proof that when family, friendship, and work come together, everyone thrives.
