RYAM has officially launched a new leadership development journey, marking a significant step forward in our commitment to cultivating talent and strengthening our organization from within. The first 75 of over 200 selected leaders have begun their path through RYAM’s intensive, competency-based training program—built to develop outstanding leaders who, in turn, grow and empower others.
This immersive program blends broad leadership development with focused training on key competencies aligned with RYAM’s mission and culture. Participants dive into proven leadership concepts, industry-standard tools, and academically grounded models—equipping them to lead with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
Mid-Level leaders are advancing through six cohorts—two each at our HQ, Fernandina, and Jesup (including the MRC). Frontline leaders will follow in eight cohorts—four each at Fernandina and Jesup. The journey began the week of May 19 with the first three Mid-Level cohorts and will continue through Q1 2026, ending with the final Frontline sessions.
This transformative initiative is being led by Craig Johnson, RYAM’s Learning and Development Manager – Corporate Talent and Total Rewards, whose vision and leadership are driving the program’s design and execution.
But this is more than training—it’s a long-term investment in our future. At RYAM, we believe leadership is the engine of workforce development.
By empowering leaders today, we’re building a stronger, more agile RYAM for tomorrow—where leaders don’t just manage, they mentor, inspire, and elevate those around them.
