At RYAM, we believe that taking care of our people means showing up in the moments that matter most — even when those moments happen far outside the walls of our workplace.
We’re proud to share that the RYAM Foundation has sponsored a room at the Ronald McDonald House in Ottawa — and this one is especially close to our hearts.
One of our own, Jacob Carriere, and his family spent over 100 nights at Ronald McDonald House Ottawa while his daughter Grace underwent treatment. For families navigating the exhausting, emotional journey of a child’s illness, Ronald McDonald House is far more than just a place to sleep — it’s a lifeline. A place of comfort, community, and hope during some of the hardest days a family can face.
In January, Grace had the honor of ringing the bell — a powerful milestone marking the end of her treatment and a moment of celebration for her and her family.
Thanks to the RYAM Foundation, that room now carries Grace’s name — a lasting tribute to her strength and to every family who will find refuge there in the years to come.
In Jacob’s own words: “The RYAM Foundation was gracious enough to sponsor a room at the Ronald McDonald House in Ottawa under Grace’s name. That’s where we spent over 100 nights during treatment. We are very thankful.”
We are incredibly proud to support an organization like Ronald McDonald House, and we are equally proud of the courage and resilience shown by Jacob and his family. Stories like theirs remind us why giving back to our communities is not just something we do — it’s a reflection of who we are.
