Gabriela Garcia

Gabriela became RYAM’s Chief Accounting Officer and Vice President, Corporate Controller in early August 2020. She joined RYAM in March 2020 as Vice President, Corporate Controller.

Prior to joining the company, Gabriela was the Controller for Nexeo Plastics; preceding that role, she was the Assistant Controller and Controller for Nexeo Solutions from 2012 through 2019, when Univar acquired it. When she joined RYAM, she had 23 years of progressive accounting, reporting, and transactional experience in various publicly traded companies in the chemical, energy, and oil and gas industries. She is an active member of RYAM’s Sustainability Council and the Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Group.

Gabriela holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington in marketing, an MBA from Houston Baptist University, and an MS in accounting from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas. She is also a Certified Public Accountant.
