Making an Impact
The RYAM Canadian Foundation is a private, charitable organization committed to improving the quality of life in the communities where we live and work. At RYAM, we believe the best way to enhance the communities where we operate is by building strong partnerships with businesses, residents and charitable institutions. Through the Canadian Foundation, we are pleased to provide funding to registered charitable organizations or qualified donnees, within the meaning of the Canada Revenue Agency seeking to improve the health, education, and welfare of the population, as well as efforts to protect the environment.
Community Outreach
At RYAM, we believe the best way to enhance the quality of life in the communities where we operate is by building strong partnerships with businesses, residents and charitable institutions. The RYAM Foundation (Canada) focuses its donation efforts on the following criteria:
- Relief of poverty
(food banks, soup kitchens, and low-cost housing units, etc.) - Prioritization of education
(colleges, universities, and research institutes, etc.) - General aid for purposes beneficial to life in the community
(animal shelters, volunteer fire departments, etc.) - Environmental efforts
(preservation of caribou habitats and other endangered species, etc.)
As active members of our communities, we believe it’s important to invest and “give back” to the community fabric that helps and supports our business and where our employees live. Whether through acts of volunteer work by our employees, participating in local councils or supporting specific programs through monetary contributions, we want to be an important part of our communities.
