At RYAM, we believe that supporting the communities where we live and work goes beyond business means investing in the culture, creativity, and spirit that make these places thrive. That’s why the RYAM Foundation was proud to donate $1,000 to the Amelia Island Opera in support of their recent production of Madama Butterfly.
This powerful performance, which drew more than 550 audience members, was one of the organization’s most meaningful productions to date. Our contribution helped cover venue expenses and provide compensation for two small artist roles, playing a direct role in bringing this extraordinary event to the stage.
The production featured acclaimed soprano Elaine Alvarez in the title role, a moment made even more special as she performed for her mother and extended family, who traveled from
Miami to witness this milestone. It was a moving, full-circle moment for the artist and the audience alike.
With a 25-piece orchestra, eight soloists, and the Jacksonville University Singers—led by Dr. Julian Bryson—in their final performance as a choir, the concert delivered a rich, emotional experience that will be remembered for years to come.

In a time when arts programs across the state are facing increasing budget cuts, we’re proud that the RYAM Foundation can play a part in keeping the arts alive and accessible here in Nassau County. Our support doesn’t just impact the stage—it uplifts the artists, students, and community members who find inspiration, connection, and joy in these performances.
Thank you to the Amelia Island Opera for allowing us to be a part of your vision and for enriching our community with the beauty of live music and storytelling.
