On July 2, RYAM was pleased to host representatives from CSX along with four of their summer interns at our Fernandina Beach facility. The visit served as a valuable opportunity to strengthen our partnership with CSX while giving future industry professionals a behind-the-scenes look at our operations.
The day began with a guided tour of the plant, where guests observed our manufacturing processes in action and gained insight into the critical role our facility plays in the broader supply chain. RYAM team members demonstrated how we transform raw materials into high-value cellulose specialties, highlighting our commitment to safety, efficiency, and sustainability at every step.
Following the tour, the interns participated in a dynamic Q&A session with RYAM leadership. The conversation covered a range of topics, including operational best practices, career pathways, and the evolving landscape of the specialty materials industry.
“We’re proud to open our doors to partners like CSX and to inspire the next generation of professionals through hands-on learning,” said Tyler Holmes, Commercial Logistics Manager. “These visits highlight the power of collaboration and the importance of education as we continue to innovate and grow.”
At RYAM, we are committed to cultivating strong industry relationships and supporting workforce development by engaging future leaders through immersive, real-world experiences.
