On September 29–30, RYAM proudly sponsored and participated in the STEM Women Summit 2025, a movement dedicated to building capacity, nurturing talent, strengthening community, and empowering women and girls in science and technology to excel in fields long dominated by men.
The Summit brought together leading voices from industry, academia, nonprofits, and government to share insights, hard-earned lessons, and actionable strategies with candor and authenticity. While keynote addresses and workshops sparked inspiration, the real impact came from open, practical conversations where attendees reflected on their journeys, uncovered potential, and mapped their next steps.
Representing RYAM’s New Products team, two leaders took the stage to guide and inspire. Larissa Fenn, Director of New Products, joined the opening panel, “What Shapes a Leader? One Question, Big Truths,” offering perspective on the experiences that define strong leadership. She also contributed to the breakout session, “Things I Wish I Knew When I Started Out My Career,” sharing practical lessons for early-career professionals. Priyanka Bhattacharya, Principal Scientist, New Products, moderated “Mentorship vs. Sponsorship: How to Find and Become a Career Catalyst,” leading a dynamic discussion on advocacy and career acceleration.
RYAM’s role as sponsor was also spotlighted during a networking break, underscoring the company’s dedication to expanding opportunity in STEM. A delegation of seven RYAM scientists attended, actively engaging with peers, exchanging insights, and showcasing the company’s culture of innovation.

In recognition of its continued support and partnership, RYAM was honored with the Pillars of Support Partner Award at the Summit. This award highlights RYAM’s ongoing commitment to empowering women in STEM, fostering inclusive leadership, and driving meaningful change across the industry.

Through its sponsorship, participation, and recognition at the event, RYAM reaffirmed its commitment to amplifying voices, fostering leadership, and helping women in STEM realize their full potential—while continuing to build stronger pathways for the next generation of innovators.
