VP, Working Capital Optimization—Accounts Payable/Receivable and Credit

I have always believed that true leadership is measured not only by what we accomplish within our organizations, but also by the positive footprint we leave on the communities we call home. That belief has fueled my commitment to volunteering and community engagement throughout Jacksonville.
One of the most rewarding aspects of my career at RYAM has been serving as our company’s liaison to Tiger Academy, a public charter school in northwest Jacksonville. In this role, I’ve helped coordinate events such as grounds beautification days, career days, and other student-centered initiatives. These experiences have strengthened my appreciation for the vital role corporate partnerships play in supporting youth development.
Beyond Tiger Academy, I’ve been privileged to contribute to a range of nonprofit efforts across the city—from housing initiatives and health and wellness programs to job readiness events. Each opportunity has reinforced the value of staying connected to the needs of the community and working to address them in tangible ways.
In 2022, I was honored to join the Leadership Jacksonville program as part of the Class of 2023. This immersive experience broadened my understanding of the systemic challenges and opportunities facing our city. I gained deeper insight into the incredible work of both grassroots and established organizations, and the financial, operational, and strategic hurdles they navigate.
Perhaps most impactful, Leadership Jacksonville connected me with a diverse network of leaders committed to transformational change. These relationships led to opportunities to serve on the boards of two nonprofit organizations—allowing me to contribute at a strategic level and help create sustainable impact.
These experiences have reinforced a core value I live by: give back to the communities where you live and work. Whether through hands-on service, corporate partnerships, or board leadership, we all have a role to play in shaping the future of our neighborhoods.
I am grateful to RYAM for fostering a culture of civic engagement and supporting leadership growth beyond the workplace. It is a privilege to represent a company that invests in both people and purpose.
