At RYAM, safety is more than a policy—it’s a shared responsibility and a core part of who we are. Every employee plays a role in keeping our workplaces safe, but leading the way are the dedicated professionals on our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) team.
These champions are instrumental in fostering a proactive safety culture, promoting health and wellness, and stepping in during critical moments. From preventing injuries to supporting employee well-being, their impact reaches every corner of our organization—protecting what matters most: our people.
Let’s meet a few of the individuals driving safety forward:

Christine Parent (Temiscaming, QC) – With a background in nursing and emergency care, Christine infuses compassion and creativity into her work. She’s known for spearheading engaging health fairs and workplace wellness challenges, always with a focus on building awareness and community.
Victor Drawdy (Jesup, Georgia) – A veteran paramedic and trauma care educator, Victor brought more than 30 years of emergency experience when he joined RYAM in 2023. He is passionate about empowering others through training and education—always putting people first.

Becky Williamson (Fernandina Beach, Florida) – With two decades of service across RYAM mills, Becky combines deep field knowledge with a strong foundation in healthcare. Her empathetic, hands-on approach makes her a trusted source for training, care, and support in times of need.
Together, these team members bring diverse expertise and a unified commitment to making RYAM a safer place for everyone. But they can’t do it alone.
Safety is a collective promise—one that requires vigilance, care, and accountability from every employee. By working together and supporting one another, we uphold a culture where safety isn’t just practiced—it’s lived.
Because at RYAM, safety isn’t just a priority. It’s a promise we all share.
