On Wednesday, March 5th, Martha Rawls Smith Elementary School hosted its fourth annual Women Only Wednesday (W.O.W.) event, celebrating the Read Across America initiative. Local women professionals were invited to read to students, inspiring them through stories and emphasizing the importance of female role models.
This beloved annual event aims to empower and educate students by highlighting the positive impact women can have in all fields. Our very own Courtney Ashley, Customer Service Representative II, North America High Purity Sales, had the honor of reading to the kids, offering them a glimpse of the powerful role women play in shaping the future.
As the event concluded, students were left not only with new stories but a renewed sense of inspiration, knowing that they, too, can make a difference. The W.O.W. event continues to serve as a reminder of the lasting impact a community can have when it comes together to uplift and educate future generations.
